Hello Fellow Vegetarians,
During my daily trip around the Internet, I discovered the following information: It is estimated that the American Taxpayers, (not including those other countries who support these actions) are spending $12 billions per month, on human, animal sacrifice, damage to the environment,loss of civilian lives and property and the destruction of cities, in the Iraq and Afghanistan war zones.

It is also estimated that by 2017 (if the wars continue) that the cost will exceed $1.7 to 2.7 trillion dollars, do the the people of America want this situation to continue? I suggest that they could make 2008 a time of Change, and be an example to the rest of the world, use their vote to elect a President, who is working to create a more Holistic Peaceful and United World, that will with our assistance, help to heal the Human mind, of the this lust for political and religious conquest.

I am an open minded Buddhist, but I understand "Thou Shalt not Kill" is one of the Ten Commandments of the Christian religion, which history tells me that many Christians and their leaders, seem to have forgotten.

I also have heard, that the present Pope has created more mortal sins, to persuade more people to go to confession, I have also heard that he attends confession once a week, what is he doing to stop wars and create peace, harmony and unity between all alternative lifestyles, races, religions and cultures, for the first time in 2500 years.

It is the actions of past misguided Popes, Kings, Queens, Politicians and other religious leaders, that caused the crusades and subsequent relgious (History is not marked by peace only by conquest) wars to happen. This has resulted in the present Fanatical Muslim Priests, having an excuse, to continue the wars, into the 21st Century.

It is true that He or She (this is 2008) who lives by the sword, dies by the sword" do we want this to continue to happen to our young people, in this so callel age of enlightenment

It is time that we started to think in the long term, to enable future generations, to at least live for for a reasonable period, instead being killed fighting in other countries.

We will never stop Islamic fanatics by fighting them, it has to be done by example and educating their young people, that they do not go to direct to heaven, if the they kill an infidel. Please let me know if you agree or disagree. Sincerely Mike

Hello Friends, I have been a lacto vegetarian for over 50 years, which has helped me to stay alive, while suffering from an incurable illness. Please read in my Profile I am in my 75th. year.... It is my aim now, to spend my remaining years researching and promoting a greater understanding (To the English speaking communities worldwide) of the wider aspects of the Holistic Way of Life, why not include the World Vegetarian Community, who in many ways support or sympathize with the "Holistic Way of Life" and its positive and good effects on Humans, Animals and the Environment.

The wider aspects of this way of life include, not only healing ourselves and others, in mind, body and spirit by natural and spiritual means, but also by healing the society in which we all live. I hope that the American Vegetarians and others, in various countries who are making use of their right to vote for change, this year, which will not only have short, but also long term effect, on this and future generations for decades, worldwide. Vote wisely, don't do what others tell you is good for you, look into their motives, for telling you.
